into the belly
the past few days have been FREEZING! i’ve been going around the neighbourhood trying to snap a few good shots for an assignment i have. layered with long johns, sweaters over shirts, scarves, heavy boots, i trekked around yesterday and am preparing myself to go back out there. yesterday was a bit of a fail. looking up at a beautiful metal staircase that i was able to get to a few weeks ago was now behind a double gate with a menacing looking lock. the worn out warehouse covered in broken panes by the sterling lofts is now torn down. beneath the bridge where college meets dundas is now blocked off with fences. wtf. summer memories behind lock and key, under a layer of snow.
a cup of coffee, an episode of Human Planet, then i’m off to check out the area surrounding the galleria, and maybe a little stop off at p.m. TO for some off track betting with day-time drunk old Portuguese men.
but first, every good day starts off with an enormous breakfast sandwich!! a delicious flaxseed bread is lightly toasted so its still soft in the middle. slathered with some pesto, old cheddar, fried egg, bacon, heirloom tomato (i ♥ fiesta farms), butter lettuce, and avocado.
there were a few days of heavy drinking in which about 5 of these sandwiches were consumed. i am made of bacon.

Now this is what I call a breakfast sandwich! Delicious!

OMG, genius photo!!!! BLTs are the best, especially with egg and cheese! If you’ve got it, you should try a BLT with arugula.

Breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? It doesn’t matter – I want that pile of fantasticness in me.
We just posted a new breakfast sandwich invention and were curious what other concoctions had been done lately – looks like ya got us beat. The tiny, plastic staff and I will attempt this at some point. Altho’ it’s probably bigger than they are.
LOVE egg sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, or dinner…and that gorgeous tomato is making my mouth water!
I love this picture! It is very simple and yet it captures the delicious details of your sandwich!! good job.
Tomorrow I will add this link to my new breakfast sandwich recipe post. I love adding the pesto. Thanks for sharing.
